The 2026 Newport Bassmaster Kayak Championship presented by Native Watercraft has been rescheduled for October 15-17 on Lake Murray in Columbia, according to B.A.S.S.
The championship will remain at its previously announced location, with only the event dates changing.
B.A.S.S. said moving the championship to October will create greater opportunities for public engagement at the event while increasing its visibility and coverage on Bassmaster.com. The new dates also will allow B.A.S.S. to further showcase the competitors, competition and growing kayak fishing community while giving fans additional opportunities to follow the action.
Lake Murray will provide the backdrop as some of the nation’s top kayak anglers compete for one of the sport’s most prestigious titles. The championship will bring qualified anglers from across the country together for three days of competition.
