Columbia Opportunity Resource (COR) is once again offering college students and interns a chance to build meaningful connections in the Midlands through its Capture Columbia program.
The free initiative, designed for students working or interning in the greater Columbia area, will run from May 27 through June 24. Registration is currently open at ourcor.org.
Capture Columbia aims to introduce participants to the professional and social landscape of the region while fostering enthusiasm for building a future in Columbia. The program features weekly sessions held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., offering a mix of networking, professional development, and behind-the-scenes experiences at well-known local venues.
“I fell in love with Columbia for many reasons, because I saw so many opportunities,” said Daniel Rickenmann during the Summer 2021 Capture Columbia graduation. “I challenge these students to think about Columbia when making their career choices. What COR is doing for our city is incredible, and with Capture Columbia on your résumé, people are going to notice.”
Participants will have the opportunity to meet a wide range of professionals, including government officials, business leaders, and executives from companies with strong internship and entry-level hiring pipelines. Students must attend all five events to complete the program.
