Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the body recovered by the Department of Natural Resources from Lake Murray near the Lexington County/Newberry County Line at about 4:20 pm April 26.
Gonzalo Briseno of Columbia was recovered from Lake Murray after he entered the water April 25 to assist someone in distress and did not resurface.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Department of Natural Resources.
