Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) is pleased to announce Allie Wetmore of Chapin High School, as the Second District of South Carolina’s 2023 Congressional Art Competition winner.

“The Congressional Art Competition is a way to recognize the talent of young artists in the Second Congressional District of South Carolina and across the nation. I congratulate Allie for her wonderful submission. The piece, entitled ‘America’s Backyard,’ is a talented and colorful use of gouache paint and gel pen to convey a patriotic message. A special thank you goes to her parents, Bill and Kristen, as well as her art teacher, Jane Rangel. I look forward to showing her artwork to all of our visitors in the U.S. Capitol over the coming year,” said Congressman Wilson.
