Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 Tri-District Arts Consortium Summer Program. Middle school students who attend the public schools of Lexington One, Lexington-Richland Five and Richland Two are eligible to participate. This year is a cause for celebration, as it marks the return of Tri-DAC after the cancellation of the program in 2020 and 2021, due to the pandemic.

The program is designed for artistically gifted and talented students who are rising sixth through ninth graders in the summer before the 2022-2023 school year. Students may audition in creative writing, dance, music (strings, vocal and wind/percussion), theatre or visual art.

The Summer Program will be held on the campus of Westwood High School in Richland District Two June 27 through July 16, 2022, from 9:00 am until 3:15 pm each day, Monday through Friday. Monday, July 4th will be observed as a holiday. The cost for the three weeks is $400.00.

Arts teachers, classroom teachers, administrators or parents may nominate students. Nomination can be made by using THIS Google form.

The deadline for nominations is January 18, 2022. Applications will be sent to each student nominated. Spaces for qualified students from each district are limited.

Auditions for Theatre, Visual Art, Vocal and Wind/Percussion students will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Westwood High School. Auditions for the areas of Creative Writing, Dance, Strings and Visual Art students will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Westwood High School. There will be no make-up auditions.
