On 01/11/2021 the Dollar General in Pelion was robbed; during the robbery the clerk sustained minor injuries. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a camo stocking cap, camo face mask, blue jacket and blue jeans. The suspect fled the scene in a white Honda Accord. Information from witnesses along with vehicle tag information led to arrest warrants being obtained for LaGeorge Jackson on charges of Common Law Robbery and Assault and Battery 1st Degree. The warrants were placed in the Nation Crime Information Computer.

On 01/16/2021 the Chester County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop Jackson in a stolen vehicle. Jackson failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated that ended in a collision. Jackson was taken into custody and transported to Piedmont Medical Center with minor injuries.

Jackson is currently being held at the Chester County Detention Center charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, failure to stop for blue lights, driving under the influence, and a myriad of other traffic charges. He is a person of interest in several similar robberies in the Greater Columbia Area.
