The 2024 Midlands Striper Club Ladies Tournament, held on September 14 at Lake Murray, saw another impressive turnout. A total of 21 Lady Anglers participated, reeling in 20 striped bass weighing a combined 67.22 pounds, with an average fish weight of 3.36 pounds. Half of the anglers brought a full two-fish creel to the scales, showcasing their skill and dedication.

Top Finishers:

  • First Place: Dianna Richardson from Team Laidback took first place with a total weight of 10.94 pounds. She also secured the Big Fish award with a 7.13-pound striper.
  • Second Place: Vicky Corley from Team Wynn One finished second with a total weight of 9.70 pounds.
  • Third Place: Kathy Thomas from Team Catchall placed third with a total weight of 9.37 pounds.
  • Fourth Place: Cindy Wise from Team Knot IV Shore finished fourth with a total weight of 8.72 pounds.
  • Fifth Place: Ashlyn Yarborough from Team Wynn One rounded out the top five with a total weight of 8.03 pounds.

The Midlands Striper Club (MSC) is a family-oriented fishing organization dedicated to preserving fisheries for future generations. Their next monthly meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on October 8 at the Flight Deck in Lexington.
