Lexington County deputies have apprehended Korey Muller, a 20-year-old resident of West Columbia, following accusations of attempted murder stemming from a violent altercation last month. Alongside this charge, Muller faces additional counts, including possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, as outlined in arrest warrants.
According to Sheriff Jay Koon, Muller allegedly discharged a firearm at a woman following a heated dispute on March 4th, though fortunately, the intended victim escaped unharmed. Upon Muller’s arrest earlier this month, law enforcement discovered he was in possession of over two pounds of marijuana, methamphetamine, and a loaded handgun, shedding light on his documented affiliation with a local gang.
Presently, Muller is detained at the Lexington County Detention Center, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
