NEWBERRY, S.C. – The curtain is rising on a brand-new season at the Newberry Opera House, and this year’s lineup promises something for everyone.

Now in its 26th season, the historic venue continues to bring world-class entertainment to the Midlands, welcoming chart-topping artists, rising stars, and globally inspired performers to its intimate stage.

Among the season’s exciting debuts are blues powerhouse Samantha Fish, ’90s alt-rock legends Soul Asylum, country hitmaker Deana Carter, and the acclaimed Soweto Gospel Choir, known for their soaring harmonies and powerful message of hope.

“This season is about discovery and connection,” said Anne Pinckney Smith, Executive Director of Newberry Opera House. “We’re continuing to expand what’s possible in our intimate space, welcoming fresh voices, beloved icons, and new stories that invite our entire community to experience the joy and impact of live performance.”

In addition to its diverse lineup, the Opera House is also spotlighting its commitment to arts access and community outreach through Newberry Arts for All (NAFA). This year-round initiative provides student matinees, ticket scholarships, and school and community partnerships — ensuring the magic of the arts reaches across generations and neighborhoods.

“Every ticket purchased helps support this mission-driven work,” said Smith. “You’re not just buying a seat to a show — you’re helping keep the arts thriving in the Midlands.”
