This Saturday, February 13, from 10am until 12noon, the Lake Murray Polar Plunge will be held at Top Spin Racquet & Swim Club, 5347 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington due to COVID restrictions. The sponsor is South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and funds raised will go to Special Olympics SC.

Registration begins at 10am and Plungers are asked to raise a minimum of $50 to plunge and will receive a beach towel. Plungers may arrive anytime between 10am and noon to check-in and plunge into the water.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics (SCLETR) conducts year-round fundraising and public awareness events in support of Special Olympics South Carolina. Officers involved in the SCLETR serve as guardians of the “Flame of Hope” and dedicate themselves to the purpose of supporting Special Olympics athletes in South Carolina.
