COLUMBIA — Beginning September 14, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will welcome guests to experience Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects® Made with LEGO® Bricks, an award-winning, record-breaking exhibition that has captivated audiences in nearly 100 cities worldwide.

The larger-than-life sculptures, built from millions of LEGO® pieces, showcase themes of conservation, endangered species, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world. Visitors can enjoy the display daily in the Botanical Garden through February 20, 2026.

Produced by Imagine, the exhibition reflects the passion of Amsterdam-based artist Sean Kenney, who uses his work to highlight topics such as protecting wildlife habitats, planting gardens, and choosing sustainable transportation.

“This exhibit is a fantastic opportunity to share our vision of conservation and environmental protection,” said Tommy Stringfellow, Riverbanks’ President and CEO. “With the Saluda Skyride opening almost simultaneously and the Garden celebrating its 30th anniversary, more guests than ever will be able to experience the wonder of both campuses.”

Tom Zaller, President and CEO of Imagine, added: “The messages in Nature Connects about our connection to nature are beautifully presented, inspiring visitors to reflect on mankind’s impact on the greater world around us.”

The Nature Connects exhibition is included with daytime admission and membership. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For more information, visit riverbanks.org.
