The South Carolina State Museum will be holding Accessibility Morning – The Cat in the Hat this Saturday, March 11 from 9 – 11 am.

The special monthly program provides access for families of children, teenagers, and adults who would benefit from a quieter, sensory-friendly and disability-adapted experience at the State Museum.

Guests who are neurodiverse, autistic, or have other disabilities are invited to experience the museum’s exhibitions at their own pace and enjoy other special optional activities, including a character meet-and-greet with The Cat in the Hat, a sensory-friendly planetarium show and more.

ASL interpretation, provided by the SC School for the Deaf and Blind, will be available for the character meet-and-greet and sensory show.

General admission to Accessibility Mornings is free for all participants, online registration at scmuseum.org is highly recommended.
