South Carolina drivers, relief is on the way! The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is kicking off its annual “Pothole Blitz”, a statewide effort to patch and repair potholes, making roads smoother and safer for everyone.

Over the next several weeks, SCDOT maintenance crews will be hard at work filling potholes across the state. While road repairs happen year-round, this focused effort is especially important after the wear and tear of winter weather. The Blitz also helps prepare roadways for the warmer months, when major paving projects take place.

How You Can Help

SCDOT is asking for the public’s help in identifying problem areas. If you see a pothole on a state-maintained road, you can report it in one of two ways:
🔹 Submit a maintenance request online at scdot.org/pothole.
🔹 Call the hotline at 1-855-GO-SCDOT (855-467-2368).

By working together, SCDOT hopes to improve road conditions and ensure a safer, smoother driving experience for everyone. Keep an eye out for maintenance crews, and drive safely!
