Donovan Fontana and David Issa, both hailing from Columbia, have been named to the Bob Jones University (BJU) Bruins men’s soccer team roster for the 2024-25 academic year. Fontana is a freshman majoring in Business Administration, while Issa is also a freshman, pursuing a degree in Sport Management.
Head Coach Greg Fulton expressed optimism for the upcoming season, stating, “Every year we push ourselves to have the most difficult schedule in the league, and this year is no different. We are consistently playing teams that challenge us to grow, all in preparation for postseason play. Our team loves the challenge, and I can’t wait to see how they handle this year’s gauntlet. Many of our opponents are on the rise and are bringing in new coaches to strengthen their programs.”
This season marks the 13th in program history for the Bruins, who are aiming for their fourth regional and national title. The team had an impressive run last year, securing 11 wins, including a thrilling 1-0 victory over Converse University, an NCAA Division II opponent.
