Mirci has announced that it will receive $160,000 from United Way of the Midlands to support its program operations for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The grant will be used to support the general operations of Mirci’s clinical mental health services and programs throughout the coming year.
“Having been a partner agency of United Way since the 1960s, we are thrilled to continue receiving support for Mirci’s behavioral healthcare and housing services,” said Julie Ann Avin, CEO of Mirci. Last year, Mirci housed more than 300 residents across the Midlands area and provided 32,000 behavioral health services to people living with mental illness with the support of this important contribution.
“Mirci is one of many new grants released this year to support programs that strive to make lasting improvements in the areas of basic needs and resilience,” said Sara Fawcett, President and CEO of United Way of the Midlands. “Thanks to the tremendous generosity of business leaders, individuals, and volunteers throughout the year, we are able to provide these funds to valuable programs like Mirci, which will help us create generational change throughout the Midlands.”
