St. Pat’s in Five Points marked its 42nd season by honoring 40 Midlands-area charities and nonprofit organizations during its annual charitable check presentation on May 14 at Andy’s Deli, located at 2005 Greene Street in Columbia.

“Not only does this festival bring our community together, but being able to donate to so many deserving charities every year is truly something special,” said Heather McDonald, executive director of the Five Points Association. “It is an honor to have donated more than $1.2 million over the festival’s history, with this year being our largest donation amount to date, and we could not be happier.”

This year’s festival welcomed more than 32,000 attendees and introduced several new attractions, including The Saint mocktail lounge, Paddy’s Mini-Ramp Jam, and WaterMonster hydration stations. The relocation of the Pot O’ Gold Playland to Andy’s Deli and the sold-out Lucky Leprechaun VIP area were also crowd favorites.
