$18,000 distributed to 18 groups during December
In a heartwarming initiative during the festive season, Southern Paw Partners, Inc., operating as Thrifty Paws Boutique in West Columbia, S.C., is spreading joy and support to animal rescue organizations in the Midlands. Throughout December, 18 deserving animal rescue groups will each receive a generous donation of $1,000, totaling an impressive $18,000 for the 4th quarter of 2023.
The beneficiary organizations include Animal Protection League, Animal Rescue Carolina, Basset Rescue Crew of the Southeast (BaRCSE), Because of Roscoe, Carolina Wildlife Center, Cullen’s Archangel Rescue (CARE), DREAM Equine Therapy Center, Final Victory Animal Rescue, For the Love of a Paw, Heartworm Project, Homeward Bound Pet Rescue, Hoppy Hearts SC, PAWS, inc., PomRescue.com, Safe Cats Coalition, Second Chance Animal Rescue Coalition of Orangeburg, Sunset Felines, and We are Zeus.
Southern Paw Partners, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization, achieves this benevolent act through its charitable thrift store, Thrifty Paws Boutique. The store, located at 1230 C Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169, operates with the mission to raise essential funding for animal rescue and welfare efforts in the Midlands. The funds are distributed via a thoughtful grant application and approval process.
Since its inception, Southern Paw Partners, Inc. has exemplified its commitment to supporting animal rescue, contributing over $140,000 to 37 qualifying rescue groups. Teresa Smith, the organization’s executive director and founder, expressed gratitude for the community’s involvement, stating, “Our little thrift boutique is successfully turning the public’s gently used and new merchandise donations into proceeds that support some of the smaller animal rescue organizations, helping them save abandoned, neglected, and abused animals.”
