The City of Columbia’s Public Relations, Media and Marketing Department is hosting two fundraising events for Sistercare, which helps victims and families recover from domestic violence August 19 and August 26 from 10 am to 1 pm.
Join in at downtown City Hall Parking Lot, 1737 Main Street in Columbia during the Soda City market to raise funds and bring awareness. There will be a dunking booth on both Saturdays, in which you can pay to dunk Mayor Rickenmann, who will be joining in August 19, as well as other City of Columbia staff and community leaders throughout both Saturdays. There will also be yard games for anyone to play, information tables and popcorn for anyone who donates.
Only cash will be accepted for the dunking booth. If you don’t feel like participating or are unable to participate, you can still donate to Sistercare on-site. You are also able to sign-up to join us for the Mayor’s Walk Against Domestic Violence October 7 at Page Ellington Park.
