COLUMBIA – One Columbia for Arts and Culture has announced its new Call for Walls campaign, an initiative to find new locations for public murals throughout the city.

The program invites property owners to submit their exterior walls for consideration in upcoming art projects. The organization hopes to secure at least two new walls this year while also building a list of potential mural sites for future installations.

The goal, according to One Columbia, is to beautify neighborhoods, celebrate local culture, and make art accessible to everyone by turning blank walls into vibrant landmarks.

“Through the Call for Walls campaign, we’re inviting property owners to help shape Columbia’s creative landscape,” said Pamela Zeljak, Public Art Administrator for One Columbia. “Every new mural is more than just paint on a wall—it’s a story, a celebration of local culture, and a way to make our city more vibrant and welcoming.”

To be eligible, walls must be publicly visible, structurally sound, and free from peeling paint. The campaign runs through the end of the year, and property owners can submit their spaces online.

The submission form is available at https://bit.ly/3Iq8TSL and asks for basic contact information, the wall’s address, and photos of the proposed location.
