The annual South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is back in Richland County on June 8-9, featuring a free self-guided farm and art tour. Now in its 13th year, the tour has expanded to include nine new counties, bringing the total to over 200 tour sites in 2024. Will Culler, Clemson Extension Agribusiness Agent and Tour Director, emphasizes the tour’s role in educating people about local food and fiber sources while supporting local artisans.

“We are proud of the commitment of our farms, artisans, and county teams,” Culler said. “One of our goals has been to give people a better knowledge of what is produced in their backyard and help them support local businesses while making healthier food choices. This event does that by putting food and product with a face.”

The tour began in York County in 2012 and now spans twenty South Carolina counties, with different counties participating each weekend in May and June. It runs from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The tour includes stops at farms and farmers’ markets, featuring local art and value-added farm products.
