Music, lasers and planetarium entertainment highlight summer favorite in Columbia<\/strong><\/p>\n

The popular Friday Night Laser Lights series returns June 19 to the South Carolina State Museum<\/span><\/span>, offering an evening of music and laser entertainment inside the museum’s 55-foot digital dome BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Guests can enjoy full-dome laser shows synchronized to music along with food available from a local food truck. The event features multiple performances throughout the evening.<\/p>\n

Show Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n

6:30 p.m. – Michael Jackson<\/strong>
Tracks include: “Beat It,” “ABC,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” “Rock With You,” “Black or White,” “Earth Song,” “You Are Not Alone,” “Billie Jean,” “Man in the Mirror” and “Thriller.”<\/p>\n

7:40 p.m. – Prince<\/strong>
Tracks include: “1999,” “Little Red Corvette,” “I Wanna Be Your Lover,” “Kiss,” “Take Me With You,” “U Got The Look,” “Raspberry Beret,” “I Would Die 4 U,” “When Doves Cry” and “Purple Rain.”<\/p>\n

8:50 p.m. – Michael Jackson<\/strong>
A second performance featuring the same set list.<\/p>\n

10 p.m. – Queen<\/strong>
Tracks include: “We Will Rock You\/We Are the Champions,” “Bicycle Race,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “I Want to Break Free,” “Under Pressure,” “Killer Queen,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Radio Ga Ga,” “Princes of the Universe” and “The Show Must Go On.”<\/p>\n

Museum officials note that laser shows contain bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort for individuals with light sensitivity or certain pre-existing conditions. Some performances may also use a water-based haze to enhance laser beam effects.<\/p>\n
