LEXINGTON, S.C. – A Columbia man has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Latif Shi’Yon Elijah Ross<\/span><\/span>, 23, is charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a person prohibited, according to arrest warrants.<\/p>\n “Deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex off Fernandina Road just before 1 p.m. Saturday,” said Jay Koon<\/span><\/span>. “They found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.”<\/p>\n Deputies attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services, according to Koon.<\/p>\n “After speaking with witnesses, detectives determined Ross was arguing with the victim before shooting him,” Koon said. “Ross then left the scene and was arrested by deputies Sunday morning.”<\/p>\n Ross is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" LEXINGTON, S.C. – A Columbia man has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon.
