M. Barrie<\/span><\/span>, <em data-start=\"667\" data-end=\"682\">Peter Pan JR.<\/em> features music by Morris &ldquo;Moose&rdquo; Charlap and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Jule Styne<\/span><\/span>, with lyrics by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Carolyn Leigh<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Betty Comden<\/span><\/span>, and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Adolph Green<\/span><\/span>. The production follows Peter, Wendy, and the Darling children on their journey to Neverland, complete with memorable songs, colorful characters, and themes of bravery and friendship.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1ymyx1w\" data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1116\">A Youth-Driven Production<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1118\" data-end=\"1340\">Part of CCT&rsquo;s YouTheatre program, this PB&amp;J Players production features students in grades 1&ndash;6 who have participated in a full theatrical process&mdash;from auditions to choreography and performance&mdash;under professional direction.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1498\">The production also includes collaboration with CCT&rsquo;s after-school stagecraft class, giving students hands-on experience both onstage and behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1500\" data-end=\"1792\">&ldquo;Our PB&amp;J Players go through a real theatrical process: auditions, blocking, choreography&mdash;the full experience,&rdquo; said Artistic Director <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Jerry Stevenson<\/span><\/span>. &ldquo;What families will see on stage is the result of weeks of dedicated work by young performers developing real skills.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1794\" data-end=\"2036\">&ldquo;This production is a great example of how our programs work together,&rdquo; added Director of Operations <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Sadie Carr<\/span><\/span>. &ldquo;Students aren&rsquo;t just performing&mdash;they&rsquo;re learning how a production comes together from the ground up.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"12l9975\" data-start=\"2038\" data-end=\"2049\">Tickets<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2051\" data-end=\"2162\">Tickets are $15 general admission and are available at columbiachildrenstheatre.com or by calling 803-691-4548.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CAYCE, S.C. &mdash; Columbia Children&#8217;s Theatre invites families across the Midlands to take flight this spring with Peter Pan JR., a musical adventure filled with magic, mischief, and imagination.
