The event brings together utilities and human service organizations to highlight programs that help income-eligible households manage energy expenses, particularly during times of crisis.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"1384\">&ldquo;We recognize that energy costs can place a real strain on many households, especially during cold winters like we&rsquo;ve experienced this year,&rdquo; said <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Kaytee Watson<\/span><\/span>, manager of customer assistance at Dominion Energy South Carolina. &ldquo;We want our customers to know they don&rsquo;t have to navigate those challenges alone. Last year, we were able to connect thousands of our customers in South Carolina with a variety of assistance programs like LIHEAP. Continued funding is critical to ensure customers facing financial hardship have access to the assistance they need.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1386\" data-end=\"1617\">Customers seeking assistance are encouraged to contact their local community action agency to learn more about LIHEAP eligibility and application requirements.
