Festival<\/span><\/span> will return to South Carolina this June for its fifth season, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of its parent organization, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Varna International<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"244\" data-end=\"452\">What began as a world-traveling production company has established <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">South Carolina<\/span><\/span> as its permanent cultural home, bringing international performers and emerging artists to local stages.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"702\">The 2026 season will be led by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Gregory Buchalter<\/span><\/span> of the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Metropolitan Opera<\/span><\/span> and will feature more than 50 faculty members mentoring and performing alongside more than 300 emerging artists from around the world.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"704\" data-end=\"1031\">&ldquo;For 25 years, Varna International has brought world-class artistry to stages around the globe,&rdquo; said <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Kalin Tchonev<\/span><\/span>, festival director. &ldquo;Over the past five years, South Carolina has become the vibrant center of that work.
