Guests of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in disability-adapted activities and sensory-friendly experiences throughout the museum.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"524\" data-end=\"786\">&ldquo;Initiatives like Disability Celebration Day, our monthly Accessibility Mornings and ongoing ADA-compliant facility improvements reflect our commitment to fostering greater equity and access throughout the museum,&rdquo; said <strong data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"785\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ani Simmons<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"1099\">A highlight of the event will be a <strong data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"857\">ZotArtz Community Art Creation<\/strong>, where participants can help paint a large floor mural using adaptive art tools such as stamping tools and paint rollers attached to wheelchairs. Guests will also have the opportunity to create individual poster-sized paintings to take home.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1424\">Additional activities include a Silent Disco with adjustable headphone volume, hands-on history stations featuring objects from the museum&rsquo;s teaching collection, and tactile materials from <strong data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1331\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">NASA<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. A sensory room will also be available for guests who need a quiet break during their visit.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1692\">Sensory-friendly planetarium and 4D theater shows will be offered with <strong data-start=\"1497\" data-end=\"1529\">American Sign Language (ASL)<\/strong> interpretation, sponsored by <strong data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"1600\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Colonial Life<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, and provided by certified interpreters from the <strong data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1691\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1694\" data-end=\"1915\">Admission to Disability Celebration Day and most activities is free. Planetarium and 4D theater shows are $5 each.
