One in nine children in South Carolina will experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of 18. Processing that loss can be one of the most difficult challenges a child faces.<\/p>\n
To help families navigate that journey, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands<\/span><\/span> is offering the Healing Hearts Grief Program<\/strong> for children ages 5 to 18 who have experienced the loss of a loved one.<\/p>\n Through Healing Hearts, children connect with peers who are also grieving, creating a safe and supportive environment to express emotions.
