{"id":7892,"date":"2025-12-10T15:29:26","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T15:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/10\/two-charged-in-lexington-county-on-drug-firearms-offenses\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T15:29:26","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T15:29:26","slug":"two-charged-in-lexington-county-on-drug-firearms-offenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/10\/two-charged-in-lexington-county-on-drug-firearms-offenses\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Charged in Lexington County on Drug, Firearms Offenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"131\" data-end=\"328\">LEXINGTON COUNTY &mdash; A Lexington County man and woman were arrested following a traffic stop that led to multiple drug and weapons charges, according to the <strong data-start=\"286\" data-end=\"327\">Lexington County Sheriff&rsquo;s Department<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"374\"><strong data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"355\">Jonathon Shockley, 26<\/strong>, was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"681\">\n<li data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"413\">\n<p data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"413\">Two counts of trafficking fentanyl<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"414\" data-end=\"476\">\n<p data-start=\"416\" data-end=\"476\">Two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"546\">\n<p data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"546\">One count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"618\">\n<p data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"618\">One count of possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV drugs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"681\">\n<p data-start=\"621\" data-end=\"681\">One count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"721\"><strong data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"702\">Emily Gomez, 25<\/strong>, was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"796\">\n<li data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"746\">\n<p data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"746\">Trafficking fentanyl<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"747\" data-end=\"796\">\n<p data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"796\">Possession of a weapon during a violent crime<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"934\">According to <strong data-start=\"811\" data-end=\"848\">Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon<\/strong>, the arrests occurred during a traffic stop on <strong data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"933\">Interstate 20 near mile marker 47<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"1040\">&ldquo;During the traffic stop, deputies found <strong data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1002\">166 grams of fentanyl<\/strong> and a handgun in the car,&rdquo; Koon said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1042\" data-end=\"1178\">Investigators with the <strong data-start=\"1065\" data-end=\"1125\">Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team<\/strong> later obtained a search warrant for Shockley&rsquo;s home.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1434\">&ldquo;Investigators found fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, scheduled prescription medications, marijuana and multiple bags of additional suspected opioids inside the home,&rdquo; Koon said. &ldquo;Investigators also seized more than <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1410\">$76,000<\/strong> and multiple firearms.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1575\">Both Shockley and Gomez have since been released from the <strong data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1531\">Lexington County Detention Center<\/strong> after meeting the conditions of their bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LEXINGTON COUNTY &mdash; A Lexington County man and woman were arrested following a traffic stop that led to multiple drug and weapons charges, according to the Lexington County Sheriff&rsquo;s Department.
