Now in its 23rd year, Holiday Lights on the River remains the Midlands&rsquo; largest drive-through light show, welcoming more than 110,000 visitors last season. Guests enter at 6071 St. Andrews Road and exit onto Bush River Road, traveling a three-mile route illuminated by more than a million lights and hundreds of animated displays.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"859\">Fan-favorite themed areas return, including the <strong data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"749\">12 Days of Christmas<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"778\">Lake Murray Country<\/strong> display, and the patriotic section. This year also brings several new additions:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"861\" data-end=\"1119\">\n<li data-start=\"861\" data-end=\"1015\">\n<p data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1015\">A custom <strong data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"907\">3D animated Santa dunking booth<\/strong> designed by students from Lexington-Richland School District Five&rsquo;s Center for Advanced Technical Studies<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1074\">\n<p data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1074\">A <strong data-start=\"1020\" data-end=\"1031\">new car<\/strong> added to the Saluda Shoals Train display<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1119\">\n<p data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1119\">A cheerful new <strong data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1111\">Rudy&rsquo;s Tree Lot<\/strong> scene<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1497\">Holiday Lights on the River also offers activities included with admission. Visitors can enjoy a hayride, train ride, tube slides, and a laser light show along the Wetland Walking Trail. Children may write Letters to Santa and explore <strong data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1386\">Santa&rsquo;s Claus&rsquo;et Gift Shop<\/strong>. Concessions and classic seasonal treats will be available, along with the tradition of roasting marshmallows.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1637\">Santa will be on-site for visits on <strong data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1587\">Nov. 28&ndash;29; Dec. 5&ndash;7; Dec. 12&ndash;14; and Dec. 18&ndash;23<\/strong>, with professional photos available for purchase.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1639\" data-end=\"1791\">While activities will not be offered on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day, the drive-through light show will remain open on those dates.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1960\">Holiday Lights on the River runs nightly through December 31 from <strong data-start=\"1859\" data-end=\"1872\">6&ndash;10 p.m.<\/strong> For admission details, advance tickets, and additional information, visit <strong data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"1959\">icrc.net<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1962\" data-end=\"2162\">The event is presented by the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission in partnership with Lexington Health and other community partners.
