(October 20, 2025)<\/strong> &ndash; The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will temporarily close the <strong data-start=\"353\" data-end=\"405\">I-20 Westbound ramp to I-26 Westbound (Exit 64B)<\/strong> overnight on <strong data-start=\"419\" data-end=\"444\">Wednesday, October 22<\/strong>, beginning at <strong data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"470\">11 p.m.<\/strong> The ramp is expected to reopen by <strong data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"539\">5 a.m. on Thursday, October 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"544\" data-end=\"766\">The closure is needed for crews to complete construction work as part of the ongoing <strong data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"660\">Carolina Crossroads Project<\/strong>, which aims to improve traffic flow and safety in one of the Midlands&rsquo; busiest interstate interchanges.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"884\">During the closure, drivers traveling from I-20 Westbound to I-26 Westbound should follow the posted detour route:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"1051\">\n<li data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"955\">\n<p data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"955\">Continue on I-20 Westbound and take <strong data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"935\">Exit 64A<\/strong> to I-26 Eastbound<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"996\">\n<p data-start=\"958\" data-end=\"996\">Take <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"976\">Exit 107B<\/strong> to I-20 Eastbound<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1051\">\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1051\">Then use <strong data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1020\">Exit 64B<\/strong> to merge onto I-26 Westbound<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1137\">Detour signs will be in place to help guide motorists through the alternate route.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1280\">SCDOT reminds all drivers to <strong data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1232\">slow down, remain alert, and use extra caution in work zones<\/strong> for the safety of both workers and travelers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1423\">For more information or project updates, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scdotcarolinacrossroads.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1372\">Carolina Crossroads Project website<\/strong><\/a> or call the <strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1420\">Project Hotline at 800-601-8715<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COLUMBIA, S.C.
