State Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"472\">COLUMBIA &ndash; Discount admission and ride tickets are now on sale for the <strong data-start=\"244\" data-end=\"278\">2025 South Carolina State Fair<\/strong>, returning to Columbia October 8&ndash;19. Fairgoers can save up to 50 percent by purchasing in advance, now through October 7, at participating Circle K locations or online at <strong data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"469\">SCStateFair.org<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"740\">&ldquo;Your South Carolina State Fair is all about creating memories with family and friends,&rdquo; said Nancy Smith, general manager of the fair. &ldquo;By purchasing tickets early, you can enjoy big savings and look forward to 12 days of rides, food, exhibits and entertainment.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"742\" data-end=\"1107\">Discount admission tickets are <strong data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"792\">$10 at Circle K<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"810\">$11 online<\/strong> (regularly $15&ndash;$20 during the fair). Discount ride vouchers are <strong data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"894\">$32 at Circle K<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"912\">$33 online<\/strong> (regularly $40&ndash;$42). Ride vouchers can be exchanged for a <strong data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1004\">Pay-One-Price (POP) wristband<\/strong> for unlimited rides or for 90 ride tickets on a reloadable card, valid for one day of unlimited fun.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1109\" data-end=\"1142\">Highlights of the 2025 Fair<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"2052\">\n<li data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1252\">\n<p data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1252\"><strong data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1155\">Theme:<\/strong> <em data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1178\">Harvesting Happiness<\/em> &ndash; celebrating South Carolina&rsquo;s agricultural roots and community spirit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1420\">\n<p data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1420\"><strong data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1273\">Entertainment:<\/strong> Nearly 70 rides, free daily circus, roving performers, Pepsi Place Stage acts, racing pigs, petting zoo, and hands-on demos at Heritage Village.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1584\">\n<p data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1584\"><strong data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1441\">Special Guest:<\/strong> Celebrity chef and TV host <strong data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1483\">Sandra Lee<\/strong> will kick off opening day, October 8, and stay through October 9 for food competitions and events.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1783\">\n<p data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1783\"><strong data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1596\">Food:<\/strong> Fifteen new foods join the midway classics, including Surf N Turf Alfredo Sundae, Reuben Sandwich Pizza, Buffalo Chicken &amp; Bacon Pimento Cheese Fries, and a Deep-Fried Cheesecake Trio.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1784\" data-end=\"2052\">\n<p data-start=\"1786\" data-end=\"1801\"><strong data-start=\"1786\" data-end=\"1799\">Exhibits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"2052\">\n<li data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1923\">\n<p data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1923\"><em data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1839\">Anne Frank: A History for Today<\/em> &ndash; a traveling exhibit bringing her story to life, located in the Cantey Building.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1926\" data-end=\"2052\">\n<p data-start=\"1928\" data-end=\"2052\"><em data-start=\"1928\" data-end=\"1961\">SC250 Revolutionary War Exhibit<\/em> &ndash; immersive displays, reenactors, and hands-on activities, located in the Ruff Building.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2278\">&ldquo;At its heart, the S.C.
