COLUMBIA – The South Carolina State Fair<\/strong> is now hiring for its 12-day run, October 8–19<\/strong>, at the S.C. State Fairgrounds. Temporary positions are available across a variety of areas, offering a chance to work behind the scenes at one of the state’s largest annual events.<\/p>\n

Those interested can explore roles and apply online at scstatefair.org\/employment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“With nearly 500 temporary positions available each fall, we’re proud that many of our workers return year after year,” said Nancy Smith, general manager of the S.C. State Fair<\/strong>. “It’s a fun, welcoming environment where employees become part of something bigger — supporting a nonprofit that gives back across the state.”<\/p>\n

Some positions begin before the fair to assist with baked goods and craft entries, while others continue after the event to help with returns.<\/p>\n

“This year’s theme, Harvesting Happiness,<\/em> is more than a slogan — it reflects the joy and pride our team brings to the fairgrounds each day,” said Kathy Allen, director of human resources and marketing<\/strong>. “We’re looking for people who want to share that spirit with our guests.”<\/p>\n
