Originally scheduled for fall 2024, the event was postponed due to the effects of Hurricane Helene, but it&rsquo;s coming back with even more excitement in store.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"458\" data-end=\"773\">This year marks a special milestone as the championship returns to Lake Murray 25 years after it hosted the very first ABA National Championship in 2000. The event is presented by the Capital City\/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board and is expected to draw the top weekend anglers from across the nation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"775\" data-end=\"1000\"><strong data-start=\"775\" data-end=\"803\">Public Invited to Attend<\/strong><br data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"806\" \/>Fans and fishing enthusiasts are invited to attend the three official competition days, May 7&ndash;9, where anglers will launch at safe daylight from Dreher Island. Public weigh-ins will be held:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1117\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1034\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1034\"><strong data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1032\">Wednesday, May 7 @ 3 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1067\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1067\"><strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1065\">Thursday, May 8 @ 3 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1068\" data-end=\"1117\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1117\"><strong data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1115\">Friday, May 9 (Championship Day) @ 2 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1168\">Dreher Island State Park admission is required:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1244\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1186\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1171\" data-end=\"1186\">$3 for adults<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"1214\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1189\" data-end=\"1214\">$1.50 for seniors (65+)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1244\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1244\">$1 for children ages 6&ndash;15<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1332\"><strong data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1262\">Big Boys BBQ<\/strong> will also be onsite to keep attendees fueled with mouthwatering food.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1792\"><strong data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1353\">What&rsquo;s at Stake<\/strong><br data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1356\" \/>The top-performing anglers will compete for cash prizes, with the champion walking away with a brand new Caymas boat powered by a Mercury Marine outboard, complete with T-H Marine components.
