The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is kicking off its annual <strong data-start=\"262\" data-end=\"281\">&ldquo;Pothole Blitz&rdquo;<\/strong>, a statewide effort to patch and repair potholes, making roads smoother and safer for everyone.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"716\">Over the next several weeks, SCDOT maintenance crews will be hard at work filling potholes across the state. While road repairs happen year-round, this focused effort is especially important after the wear and tear of winter weather. The Blitz also helps prepare roadways for the warmer months, when major paving projects take place.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"718\" data-end=\"744\"><strong data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"742\">How You Can Help<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"1069\">SCDOT is asking for the public&rsquo;s help in identifying problem areas. If you see a pothole on a <strong data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"864\">state-maintained road<\/strong>, you can report it in one of two ways:<br data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"906\" \/>&#x1f539; <strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"948\">Submit a maintenance request online<\/strong> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scdot.org\/pothole\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"1002\">scdot.org\/pothole<\/a>.<br data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1006\" \/>&#x1f539; <strong data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1029\">Call the hotline<\/strong> at <strong data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1066\">1-855-GO-SCDOT (855-467-2368)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1251\">By working together, SCDOT hopes to improve road conditions and ensure a safer, smoother driving experience for everyone.
