Columbia-based recording artist, producer, entrepreneur and hip-hop activist Master Splnta aka FatRat Da Czar will return as this year&rsquo;s host.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;While St. Pat&rsquo;s in Five Points has grown and expanded over the years, its heartbeat has long been the live musical performances,&rdquo; said Heather McDonald, executive director of the Five Points Association. &ldquo;This year, we&rsquo;re bringing 24 acts to the festival&rsquo;s six stages that showcase a mix of established and emerging talent across a variety of genres, from rock and funk to country, soul and more.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with the University of South Carolina and sponsored by Greene Street Records, the festival will also feature a new student-focused stage in the Home Team BBQ parking lot at 700 Harden Street.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Each year, our goal is to create a lineup that delivers high-energy, memorable performances from the first performance to the last,&rdquo; said Trae Judy, talent buyer for St. Pat&rsquo;s in Five Points. &ldquo;We look for artists from all over&mdash;local favorites as well as regional and national acts&mdash;across a variety of genres. The festival attracts such a diverse crowd, so we want to make sure there&rsquo;s something for everyone to enjoy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to live music, the festival features a variety of vendors, food trucks, artisans and family-friendly attractions, including:<br \/>&bull; Get to the Green 5K\/10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run will begin at 7:30 am on Devine Street near the festival entrance. Registration includes a &ldquo;Get to the Green&rdquo; race shirt and medal along with festival entry. <br \/>&bull; St. Pat&rsquo;s Parade begins at 10 am and covers a one-mile route that starts at Devine Street and Sims Avenue and ends on College Street.<br \/>&bull; Pot O&rsquo;Gold Playland, a children&rsquo;s area offering balloon artistry, face painting, rides and more, will be open from 10 am-6 pm in the Andy&rsquo;s Deli parking lot at 2005 Greene St.<br \/>&bull; The Saint mocktail lounge returns this year near the Greene Street entrance.<br \/>&bull; An inflatable Irish pub will join the festival&rsquo;s Food Truck Alley on Devine Street.<br \/>Tickets to the festival can be bought at StPatsColumbia.com.<\/p>\n<p>General admission <br \/>&ndash; Advance tickets: $30 until midnight on March 14. <br \/>&ndash; Gate price: $35 on March 15.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky Leprechaun VIP Lounge<br \/>&ndash; Location: Corner of Harden Street and Saluda Avenue, in front of the Postcard Mural. <br \/>&ndash; Price: $125 per ticket (limited quantities).<br \/>&ndash; Includes:<br \/>&bull; Festival entry.<br \/>&bull; Access to special lounge area in the middle of the festival zone.<br \/>&bull; Climate-controlled restrooms with private stalls.<br \/>&bull; Yard games, tables and seating.<br \/>&bull; VIP viewing area from the side of each stage (first come, first served). <br \/>&bull; Complimentary hors d&rsquo;oeuvres, beer, wine and liquor.<\/p>\n<p>Saluda&rsquo;s and Tito&rsquo;s Ultra Premium VIP Experience<br \/>&ndash; Location: Saluda&rsquo;s Restaurant, 751 Saluda Ave. <br \/>&ndash; Price: $200 per ticket (very limited quantities).<br \/>&ndash; Includes:<br \/>&bull; Festival entry.<br \/>&bull; Access to Saluda&rsquo;s restaurant, featuring a balcony overlooking the center of the festival.<br \/>&bull; Complimentary beer, wine and liquor. <br \/>&bull; Premium hors d&rsquo;oeuvres. <br \/>&bull; Indoor restroom facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The festival brings in about $12.7 million to Columbia and Richland County, allowing the Five Points Association the opportunity to give back to the community.
