Highlighting this fall concert, Concertmaster Mary Lee Taylor Kinosian will perform Astor Piazzolla&#8217;s fiery <em>Four Seasons of Buenos Aires<\/em>, adding a passionate flair to the season&rsquo;s lineup.<\/p>\n<p>The program opens with <em>Alla siciliana<\/em> from Amy Beach&#8217;s <em>Gaelic Symphony<\/em>, setting a gentle, lyrical tone. Kinosian then takes center stage to perform Piazzolla&rsquo;s piece, known for its tango-infused intensity and nods to Vivaldi&rsquo;s <em>Four Seasons<\/em> through Russian composer Leonid Desyatnikov&rsquo;s 1996 arrangement for solo violin and orchestra. Tchaikovsky&rsquo;s emotionally charged <em>Symphony No. 6, Path&eacute;tique<\/em> brings the evening to a powerful close, promising an unforgettable night of music.<\/p>\n<p>A native of Columbia, Kinosian began her music journey at age five and joined the South Carolina Philharmonic as a teen. Her extensive career spans roles with the San Jose Symphony, Nashville Symphony, and Columbia&rsquo;s Upton Trio, where her compositions have been featured on NPR.
