The holiday hoops season officially begins Dec. 19 at Brookland-Cayce High School.<\/p>\n
The annual Cayce Roundball Classic takes place Dec. 19-22. This year’s field includes 16 teams, including defending Class 2A champion Gray Collegiate and last year’s American Bracket champion Lancaster.<\/p>\n
The opening day will feature two American Bracket games. Cross Creek (Ga.) will face Sumter at 7 p.m., followed by Marion versus North Augusta at 8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
The North Augusta\/Marion winner will face the winner of the Day Two matchup between the War Eagles and the host team at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 21. The Cross Creek\/Sumter winner gets either A.C. Flora or Providence Day (NC) at 5:30 p.m. the same day.<\/p>\n
This year’s tournament for the first time will feature a 45-second shot clock. It was approved for use in tournaments by the S.C. High School League.
