{"id":5448,"date":"2023-10-17T01:13:26","date_gmt":"2023-10-17T01:13:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2023\/10\/17\/2-georgia-teens-arrested-in-string-of-car-break-ins\/"},"modified":"2023-10-17T01:13:26","modified_gmt":"2023-10-17T01:13:26","slug":"2-georgia-teens-arrested-in-string-of-car-break-ins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2023\/10\/17\/2-georgia-teens-arrested-in-string-of-car-break-ins\/","title":{"rendered":"2 Georgia teens arrested in string of car break-ins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lexington County deputies have arrested two suspects connected to more than 30 car break-ins earlier this month as the search continues for a third subject accused of being part of the Georgia-based theft ring.<\/p>\n<p>Quadriquez Malik Poole, 19, of Ellenwood, Georgia, is charged with 38 counts of breaking into vehicles, vehicle theft, second-degree burglary and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to arrest warrants. The name of the second suspect, who is also from Georgia, will not be released because he is under the age of 18.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The break-ins from this case happened the first week of October at several places between the 1200 and 2800 blocks of Bush River Road,&rdquo; Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. &ldquo;There was one burglary associated with this investigation that happened in that same area Oct. 6.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A detective made contact with the two suspects hours after the burglary and arrested them after a short foot chase, according to Koon.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve recovered some of the stolen property and return it to the owners,&rdquo; Koon said. &ldquo;We got the car back, a gun, some electronics and a lot of debit and credit cards.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Poole is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
