The inaugural event will take place November 30 &#8211; December 2 at NoMa Warehouse and Davis Architecture, both located in downtown Columbia. <\/p>\n<p>The event plans to highlight works of edible architecture and design while spreading holiday cheer for the community. Proceeds from the event will benefit Rapid Shelter Columbia. <\/p>\n<p>Teams wishing to participate in the competition are invited to apply at <a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/5t5ytdw2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/5t5ytdw2<\/a>. It is free to apply, but if chosen to participate, there will be a participation fee of $100 and all fees will be donated to Rapid Shelter Columbia. Participation is limited this year based on exhibition hall size.<\/p>\n<p>The categories for entry will be based on team type and the following team categories will be considered:<\/p>\n<p>Architecture Firms<br \/>Construction Firms<br \/>Commercial and\/or Real Estate Development Firms<br \/>Real Estate Agencies<br \/>Furniture Designer\/Builders<br \/>Interior Designers<br \/>Engineering Firms<br \/>Engineering\/Art\/Design Students from local universities<br \/>Artists<br \/>Bakeries<\/p>\n<p>Schedule of Events:<\/p>\n<p>November 30: Entries will be delivered to NoMa Warehouse, 2222 Sumter Street, by 3 p.m. for judging by an official panel of judges.<\/p>\n<p>December 1: All entries will be on display at NoMa Warehouse for the public to visit and cast votes for the People&#8217;s Choice Award from 11 am &#8211; 9 pm. Attendees will be asked to bring needed items for Rapid Shelter Columbia and will also have the ability to financially donate to RSC at that time as well if they wish. Attendance is free.<\/p>\n<p>December 2: Competition Cocktail Party. All entries will be transported for display at Davis Architecture, 1328 Blanding St. Participants will be invited to attend the awards ceremony and announcement at 6 pm, and at 7 pm, the cocktail party will be open for other guests to arrive. Proceeds from this party will benefit Rapid Shelter Columbia. 6 &#8211; 7 pm (awards recognition). 7 &#8211; 9 pm cocktail party. (This is a ticketed event with proceeds going to Rapid Shelter Columbia).
