The Irmo Cherry Blossom Festival invites artists to compose a traditional haiku based upon the cherry blossom: the beauty of the buds, the flowers, the trees, and the new bloom of the sakura. <\/p>\n
All haiku will be posted on the ICBF Facebook page using the author’s initials. The winners will be selected by City of Columbia Poet Laureate Jennifer Bartell Boykin.<\/p>\n
Haiku may be submitted via Haiku@TheIrmoCherryBlossomFestival.Com beginning February 14 until March 1. The winner and honorable mentions will be announced on March 4, 2023; limit one submission per poet, please. The winners will be announced on the ICBF Facebook and other social media platforms.<\/p>\n
