The 9\/11 Remembrance Foundation of South Carolina has announced a new initiative with Flight Deck Restaurant in Lexington. <\/p>\n
The initiative is designed to offer Flight Deck patrons the opportunity to support veterans, military service members, first responders and their families.<\/p>\n
“I have tremendous respect for those who serve our communities and country,” said Ted Stambolitis, Owner\/Operator of the Flight Deck. “I am very passionate about helping the homeless veterans and wanted to give back. Working with the 9\/11 Remembrance Foundation, we are able to support this cause and involve our patrons.”<\/p>\n
Beginning May 24, patrons of the Flight Deck can add a $1, $2, or $3 donation to the foundation on their restaurant check and the Flight Deck will match the donations every Tuesday. All of the funds donated will go towards the 9\/11 Remembrance Foundation programs, which will support the needs of homeless veterans and local first responders.<\/p>\n
“We are extremely pleased to join this partnership with Flight Deck for the benefit of our local heroes who have given so much,” said Dan Hennigan, Founder and Chair of 9\/11 Remembrance Foundation of South Carolina. “Creating the awareness of critical needs for those who serve and have served, and inviting others to share in the support goes a long way to helping us accomplish our goal.”<\/p>\n
