A vacationer from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania lost his life while boating on Lake Murray. Egar Hofe, 78, was reported missing after he went overboard Monday morning around 11:15 am near Buffalo Creek and Grant Williams Estate.<\/p>\n
According to SCDNR, his body was recovered around 3 pm that afternoon. Rescue divers used wide scan sonar to find Hofe.<\/p>\n
Hofe and his wife were renting a residence on the lake for the month and went fishing that morning when he fell into the water.<\/p>\n
