Chief Terrence Green is notifying the Town of Lexington community that an arrest was made in the overnight shooting death of a teenage male that happened at the Town & Country Apartments.<\/p>\n
At approximately 10:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting at 301 Roberts Street. When officers arrived, they found a deceased 15-year-old victim who had been shot in the upper body laying outside near the parking lot.<\/p>\n
Lavon Bernard Julius, age 42 of Columbia, was arrested and charged with Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.<\/p>\n
The Lexington Police Department, State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are investigating this case and more information will be released when it becomes available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
