{"id":2847,"date":"2021-02-19T14:19:30","date_gmt":"2021-02-19T14:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/19\/calhoun-county-man-charged-with-catalytic-converter-theft\/"},"modified":"2021-02-19T14:19:30","modified_gmt":"2021-02-19T14:19:30","slug":"calhoun-county-man-charged-with-catalytic-converter-theft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/19\/calhoun-county-man-charged-with-catalytic-converter-theft\/","title":{"rendered":"Calhoun County man charged with catalytic converter theft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lexington County deputies arrested a St. Matthews man Saturday on a felony charge of possession of stolen non-ferrous metals, and possession of a stolen vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph Michael Lyons, 41, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 4300 block of Augusta Highway, according to an incident report.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We received a tip that Lyons had a catalytic converter in his trunk,&rdquo; Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. &ldquo;The deputy who stopped Lyons confirmed there was a stolen catalytic converter in the trunk and the car Lyons was driving was reported stolen out of Summerville.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Lyons is also charged with driving under suspension, according to Koon.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies arrested Lyons at the scene of the traffic stop.
