{"id":2280,"date":"2020-09-03T15:16:35","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T15:16:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2020\/09\/03\/lexington-libraries-expand-services-reopen-branches\/"},"modified":"2020-09-03T15:16:35","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T15:16:35","slug":"lexington-libraries-expand-services-reopen-branches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gpstrianglenews.com\/index.php\/2020\/09\/03\/lexington-libraries-expand-services-reopen-branches\/","title":{"rendered":"Lexington libraries expand services, reopen branches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, September 3, Lexington County Public Library (LCPL) branches will begin allowing patrons inside the facilities, offering limited in-person services such as browsing, computers by appointment and mobile printing.<\/p>\n<p>The Lexington Main, Irmo and Cayce-West Columbia Branch Libraries will be open to the public Monday &#8211; Thursday, 10 am &ndash; 7 pm; Friday and Saturday, 10 am &ndash; 4 pm; and Sunday, 2:30 &ndash; 4:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Call the other branches for current hours of service.<\/p>\n<p>Limited services being offered in the branches include:<\/p>\n<p>&bull; Browsing of materials (books, DVD&rsquo;s, etc.)<br \/>&bull; Computer use by appointment only (limited to one hour of use per patron)<br \/>&bull; Use of self-checkout<br \/>&bull; Mobile printing<br \/>&bull; Self-service copier will be available with limited staff assistance<br \/>&bull; New library card or transitioning from a temporary card<br \/>&bull; In-building pick up and check out of items placed on hold<\/p>\n<p>Patrons are required to have temperature taken upon entering and wear a mask at all times while inside of a library facility, and masks should fully cover the nose and mouth. All LCPL buildings are adhering to occupancy limits, so you may experience a wait before entering a branch. Patrons should limit time in the building to allow more patrons to have an opportunity to use the library.<\/p>\n<p>Curbside pick-up will only be available on Tuesdays. For details on how to use this service, call your local library branch.<\/p>\n<p>Public programs and room bookings remain suspended. However, virtual programs will continue on the library&rsquo;s Facebook page and YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p>Wi-Fi will continue being accessible outside all branches.<br \/>Book returns are open at all branches.
