LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies have arrested a woman accused of stealing and damaging multiple vehicles at a used car dealership.

Da’Niyah Shanesse Fulks, 20, is charged with three counts of grand larceny, two counts of breaking into motor vehicles, and one count each of malicious injury to real property and criminal conspiracy, according to arrest warrants.

“We received a report about a suspicious vehicle near a dealership and body shop in the 2500 block of South Lake Drive early Thursday morning,” said Jay Koon. “When a deputy arrived, he noticed a car with significant front-end damage.”

Investigators were able to trace the damaged vehicle back to the dealership.

“He determined the car reported as suspicious had been driven through a gate at the dealership,” Koon said. “He eventually found four other cars with damage indicating someone had tried to steal them.”

While deputies were investigating at the dealership, another vehicle reported stolen from the same location was spotted and pulled over.

“Fulks was in that car, along with four minors,” Koon said. “She has also been charged with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.”

Deputies arrested Fulks during the traffic stop. She is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.

The minors taken into custody were transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, according to Koon.
