LEXINGTON, S.C. – Cancer of Many Colors (CMC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families, has announced the appointment of Whitnei Jeffcoat Wingard as its new chief development officer.

In her new role, Wingard will lead efforts to raise awareness of CMC’s mission, coordinate events, manage fundraising initiatives, and strengthen partnerships with other community organizations.

“I am excited and delighted to welcome Whitnei to Cancer of Many Colors,” said Paulette Criscione, CMC’s executive director. “Her passion, expertise and dedication make her a tremendous asset to our organization and the communities we serve.”

Wingard brings more than a decade of experience from her previous role as senior community manager for the American Cancer Society, where she was instrumental in organizing large-scale fundraising events, developing sponsorship opportunities, and expanding community outreach efforts.

Criscione said Wingard’s experience aligns perfectly with CMC’s goals for growth and community engagement. “Whitnei is a proven collaborator and leader,” she added. “She is well known and well regarded for her ability to work with local leadership, committees, and volunteers to drive mission-focused results.”

Cancer of Many Colors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Lexington County. Through its Small Gift Program, the organization helps qualified cancer patients cover non-medical expenses like rent, mortgage, and utility bills—allowing them to focus on healing and recovery.
