The high-energy rock production Bat Out of Hell – The Musical<\/span><\/span> is set to take the stage at the Koger Center for the Arts<\/span><\/span> for one night only on May 14. Tickets are now on sale.<\/p>\n

Featuring the iconic music of Jim Steinman<\/span><\/span> and Meat Loaf<\/span><\/span>, the production combines powerful vocals, dynamic choreography, and an eight-piece live rock band to bring the legendary songs to life.<\/p>\n

Set in a dystopian city, the story follows a group of rebellious “Lost” boys and girls who flee into underground tunnels to escape the tyrannical ruler Falco. When Falco’s daughter Raven meets Strat, the fearless and immortal leader of the Lost, their intense, love-at-first-sight connection threatens to upend both of their worlds.<\/p>\n

The musical has received critical acclaim, winning Best Musical at the Evening Standard Awards<\/span><\/span> (Radio 2 Audience Award) and earning eight nominations at the WhatsOnStage Awards<\/span><\/span>, including Best New Musical.<\/p>\n

The original Bat Out of Hell<\/em> album sold more than 68 million copies worldwide. Sixteen years later, Steinman returned with Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell<\/em>, featuring the Grammy-winning hit “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).”<\/p>\n

The production features book, music, and lyrics by Steinman, direction by Jay Scheib<\/span><\/span>, and musical supervision and arrangements by Michael Reed<\/span><\/span>. Additional creative team members include U.S. music director Greg Paladino<\/span><\/span>, choreographer Xena Gusthart<\/span><\/span>, designer Jon Bausor<\/span><\/span>, video designer Finn Ross<\/span><\/span>, lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe<\/span><\/span>, and sound designer Gareth Owen<\/span><\/span>, among others.<\/p>\n
