Additional closures will include <strong data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"560\">Haygood Avenue<\/strong> and portions of <strong data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"594\">Meetze Street<\/strong> to allow parade participants to stage and prepare floats.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"798\">The <strong data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"707\">Lexington County Extension Office parking lot<\/strong> at <strong data-start=\"711\" data-end=\"735\">605 West Main Street<\/strong> will be closed throughout the day for float setup and staging.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"1017\">The parade route will travel <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"895\">Haygood Avenue &rarr; West Main Street\/US-1 &rarr; North Lake Drive\/SC-6<\/strong>. The best viewing area will be along <strong data-start=\"933\" data-end=\"1016\">West Main Street from Haygood Avenue to the Main Street\/Lake Drive intersection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1019\" data-end=\"1114\">To prepare for the <strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1064\">3:00 p.m. parade start<\/strong>, the following roads will close at <strong data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1113\">2:45 p.m.<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1285\">\n<li data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1173\">\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1173\">West Main Street (Columbia Avenue to North Lake Drive)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1211\">\n<p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1211\">East Main Street at Harmon Street<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1249\">\n<p data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1249\">North Lake Drive at Dreher Street<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1285\">\n<p data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1285\">South Lake Drive at Fort Street<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1376\">All traffic will be detoured away from downtown Lexington until the parade has concluded.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1378\" data-end=\"1593\">Main Street\/US-1 is expected to reopen at approximately <strong data-start=\"1434\" data-end=\"1447\">5:00 p.m.<\/strong> West Butler Street (Columbia Avenue to South Church Street) will remain closed until all parade floats and participants have cleared the roadway.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1828\">The <strong data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1630\">Lexington Police Department<\/strong> will collect new, unwrapped toys for the <strong data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1708\">Toys for Tots &ldquo;Pack the Pontoon&rdquo;<\/strong> campaign, as officers and V.I.P.S. gather donations from parade attendees while a towed pontoon boat travels the route.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"2161\">Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and seating. Use <strong data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1929\">public parking lots<\/strong> near the event. Vehicles parked in <strong data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"1990\">private business lots<\/strong> may be towed at the owner&rsquo;s expense.
