The BullStreet District will become the future home to Columbia’s first Tupelo Honey Cafe.<\/p>\n

The restaurant, known for scratch-made southern food and handmade cocktails, is set to open its 5,800 sf location in the first quarter of 2024 inside the new Bennet at BullStreet mixed-use complex.<\/p>\n

“When I first visited the BullStreet District, I knew it was not a matter of if we wanted to be there, but when. The ‘when’ is now,” said Stephen Frabitore, CEO of Tupelo Honey Cafe. “BullStreet is a vibrant, mixed-use district that reflects the authenticity of downtown Columbia, and we are excited to be a part of all the good things happening in the district and city.”<\/p>\n

Tupelo Honey will feature a variety of brunch, lunch and dinner options, including southern dishes such as honey-dusted fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. Farm-fresh sides and desserts will add to the menu.<\/p>\n

In addition to its menu, Tupelo Honey features a bar program. Guests can choose from handmade cocktails such as “Peach Don’t Kill My Vibe,” a sparkling sangria; “Tupelomo,” a fruity tequila cocktail; and “The Debutante,” a twist on a classic vodka drink with house-made lavender lemonade. A selection of wine, beer and liquor, including options from local distilleries and breweries, will round out the beverage menu.<\/p>\n

Tupelo Honey focuses on a responsibly sourced ethos, including sustainably grown and “forever free” proteins that are free of hormones and antibiotics.<\/p>\n

Founded in Asheville, NC in 2000, Tupelo Honey currently has 20 restaurants in 13 states, including Greenville and Myrtle Beach locations in South Carolina. Tupelo Honey is continuing to expand their operations nationwide with new locations in Indianapolis, Indiana; Lenexa, Kansas; Omaha, Nebraska; Las Colinas, Texas and others in development.<\/p>\n

Tupelo Honey will occupy retail space on the ground floor of Bennet at BullStreet, which is located in the geographic center of the BullStreet District —neighboring Segra Park, the First Base Building and the new WestLawn Building.<\/p>\n
